Jake Maas is an experienced CPA who also holds his MBA from Quincy University. He has spent most of his career in the corporate environment while working for 3 publicly traded companies, including one fortune 100 company. Jake has also served as CFO for a large privately held company. Jake brings a depth of experience to the clients of B2. Jake has extensive experience in financial statement analysis, cash flow forecasting, budgeting and overall financial and business operation management.
When Jake is not leading the team at B2, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan and Chicago Bears football fan.

With over 30 years of financial and management experience from a large corporate fortune 500 company to solo practice law firms, Molly enjoys helping law firms meet their financials goals. She has her BA in Business Administration-Accounting and MBA from Seattle University. Spending time with her family-husband of 30 years, 3 children and one grandson is a passion. She also volunteers at a dog rescue and has 3 recuse dogs of her own . You will see her cheering for her daughter’s sport teams every weekend.

Christine began her accounting career when she and her husband started a family business. This involved varied aspects of accounting including reconciliations, financial reporting, and payroll. When they closed that chapter after many successful years, she was provided the opportunity to work as a bookkeeper at a law firm where she was under the tutelage of an excellent accounting manager. In addition to learning to appreciate the law firm accounting and billing environment, she discovered a new passion for information systems and process improvement. After raising six children in Orange County, California, Christine enrolled in college and earned a degree in Business Administration from California State University at Fullerton. Christine and her husband re-located to Arlington, Texas in 2014, following most of their children to north Texas. She loves sewing, singing, organizing, and spending time with her eleven grandchildren.

Melanie joined the B2 team in 2022 after a long career in higher education where she led all aspects of a university business office. Those years of experience will be beneficial as she brings some of those best practices to new B2 clients. Her drive for excellence is based on extracting details to get to the bottom of a puzzle, but also on incorporating simplicity where possible.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending quality time with her granddaughters, or traveling with her wide circle of friends. She likes to stay busy, so always has a “project” of some sort in the works!

Gabriela joined the B2 team in 2023 as a billing specialist. She has 20 years of Legal Billing experience. She came from an insurance defense law firm where she started as a receptionist and moved her way up to Office/Billing Manager. She prides herself on her loyalty and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Gabriela enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and energetic dog. She enjoys the summer months where she enjoys going to the beach and going on cruises.

Although she has called Denver her home for most of her adult life, she admits that it’s the values she brought with her after growing up in the Midwest that have provided the largest contribution to her success

After raising 2 grown sons, Shelley spends as much time as possible with her 18-month-old grandson and looks forward to another one on the way. She quickly learned that having grandchildren really is better than having kids. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her beloved rescue dog, reading & spending time with friends.

Nikkea B. Devida is an experienced COO, former business owner and business consultant who joined the B2 team in 2022. She brings a depth of experience to the clients of B2 with over 20 years of business experience across many industries in both the corporate and small business environments, including 1 ½ years in law firm operations.
Nikkea earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the United States Air Force Academy, and her Masters degree from the University of Southern California’s (USC) Marshall School of Business in the elite Masters of Business for Veteran’s (MBV) program.
Nikkea lives in Las Vegas, Nevada where she enjoys live performing arts in all forms for fun and is a singer/songwriter/recording artist as a hobby.
You’ll find her volunteering for many military veteran organizations in the Honor Guard and as the National Anthem singer, including Sisters Who Serve, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Women Veterans of Nevada, and Women Veteran’s Alliance.

Dorothy joined the B2 team in 2022 as a Billing Specialist. She came from a large
corporate law firm and has over 7 years of experience with Legal Billing, with a
strength in handling IP billing. Dorothy also has 7 ½ years accounting experience
and 9 ½ years’ experience in the banking industry. Dorothy prides herself on her
attention to detail and ability to learn quickly and enjoys researching, resolving
issues, and training/mentoring.
Outside of work, Dorothy spends most of her time with her husband, children, and
animals including chickens. She also enjoys bowling and swimming. She aspires to
move to Texas from Ohio for family and warmer weather. Dorothy is a “mother-hen”
and her mom skills kick in no matter your age. She says: “Be sure to take your

Kat recently came to B2 from a small law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she handled everything in the billing department from beginning to end of the file. She has experience with the process of opening a new file, updating the billing information on the matter, printing prebills, editing fee and cost entries as needed, generating bills, editing and uploading LEDES files, handling issues that may come up when submitting LEDES files, appeal invoice reductions as well as budgets for the clients to approve and closing out the file when the case is over.
Kat has 3 kids and currently has 2 grandchildren. When Kat isn’t at home, she can usually be found at the rink either watching the Florida Panthers play, coaching her son’s peewee hockey team or playing hockey herself. She also enjoys drawing on procreate or crocheting baby blankets for her friends and family.

Rose has over 25 years of law firm experience from being the Accounting and Office Manager for a mid-size law firm. She has experience handling the daily accounting activities to insurance defense billing using a variety of legal billing platforms. She has a strong work ethic and takes pride in helping companies gain financial stability.
Rose lives in southern New Mexico with her husband. During her spare time, Rose enjoys reading and traveling. Her “happy place” is on the beach reading a book.

As a certified paralegal and an accounting professional, she has a keen eye for detail and a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of financial management. She is excited to bring her skills to B2, where she looks forward to streamlining financial processes and supporting clients with precision and efficiency.
Residing in Northwest Oklahoma, Carrie shares her life with her husband, a genuine Brit, and their blended family of four amazing kids—two in the U.S. and two in the U.K.—along with three wonderful grandkids across the pond. Their home is full of energy thanks to their two English Springer Spaniels, Archie and his daughter, Scout. Outside of work, Carrie is a creative at heart. With nearly 19 years as a professional photographer and videographer, she has developed a sharp eye for both the big picture and the smallest details—an approach she carries into her accounting and consulting work.
Beyond her professional and creative passions, Carrie is deeply involved in her faith and community. She plays guitar and sings with her church’s worship team and has participated in five mission trips to Peru, with hopes of returning for more. She’s also an avid true crime and thriller enthusiast—always ready to chat about the latest cases and stories. When she’s not crunching numbers or keeping up with her busy household, you can likely find her with a cup of coffee and a good book or planning her next creative project.

Jeff, a Minnesota native living in Texas for over 40 years, is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University and has a very diverse background in accounting. Many years in professional service firms with the last 6 with law firms. He has worked with QuickBooks for 25 years and previously held QuickBooks ProAdvisor status.
Jeff is currently living in Dallas with his wife and 2 cats. They enjoy traveling, especially to beaches and attending sporting events, particularly baseball.

Her law firm experience developed in Hawaii where she married a local Hawaii resident, raised two boys and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hawaii Pacific University. In 2008, she left her two grown children and grandson to move to Florida and now lives on an acre of property in the country outside of West Palm Beach with her 3 rescue dogs.
Terry’s interests revolve around the ocean – swimming, boogie boarding, scuba diving and sailing. She also enjoys dog training, lap swimming and weekly dinner parties with her friends cooking gourmet or comfort food meals. She also enjoys tending to her landscaping of exotic plants and hedges as well as a large variety of fruit and palm trees.

Megan Jaynes is an experienced CPA that guides B2 clients in a thorough understanding of their financial position and addresses complex accounting issues. Megan practiced public accounting for eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a manager in the Audit division and worked with a diverse range of clients, including both public and non-public companies. She has extensive experience in financial statement preparation and analysis as well as application of accounting principles. Megan’s knowledge and analytical skills are used to help clients in forecasting, budgeting and maximizing financial efficiencies to help grow their business.
Megan earned her Bachelor degree in Business Administration with Honors and her Master’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
Megan is active in the community and has served on various executive committees at her children’s schools and her church. In her free time, Megan enjoys traveling with her husband, watching their kids play sports, spending time at the lake and attending Aggie athletic events.

Marcia has extensive knowledge in just about every role within a law firms’ accounting and administration department. She brings twenty plus years of law firm accounting and bookkeeping experience to B2. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hunter College in NYC. Marcia prides herself with being extremely organized, detailed, professional and a team player.
Marcia currently resides on Staten Island (the forgotten borough of NYC). She enjoys reading a good book, traveling, and running half marathons. She also loves to complete jigsaw puzzles, but they must have at least 2,000 pieces!

Peg joined B2 in 2024, bringing with her 30 years of experience in the legal field. For the first 25 years of her career, she served as a Legal Assistant before transitioning to a Billing Administrator role for the past 5 years, where she focused exclusively on billing
and accounting with a specialization in e-billing. Peg is proficient in resolving any billing related issues that may arise, and her background as a legal assistant has provided her with invaluable insights into the operations of law firms.
Her primary objective at B2 is to streamline the billing process for law firms, positioning herself as a reliable resource for clients seeking to alleviate their billing-related challenges. Peg is enthusiastic about collaborating with others at B2, as she recognizes that the intricacies of legal billing, particularly e-billing, can be complex. She values the opportunity to communicate with colleagues who share her expertise and understand the goals they are striving to achieve together.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Peg values quality time with her two sons and actively participates in outdoor activities, including walking, hiking, camping, kayaking, traveling, and swimming. She has a strong passion for nature and enjoys
meeting new people. Peg recently began part-time work at a state park in South Dakota, which has proven to be a rewarding experience that supports both her commitment to her state and her own mental and physical well-being.
Peg is committed to providing support to anyone in need, drawing from her personal experiences. She consistently makes herself available to listen and offer assistance to those who require it.

Her background includes multi-office, multi-state management. Rachel spent over a decade traveling across the United States conducting field audits for a law firm auditing company. She enjoys working with start-up companies to organize and implement procedures. She thrives on documenting chaos.
Rachel’s passion is cemetery preservation and genealogy. She enjoys kayaking in the Natural State of Arkansas where she resides. She is also a beginning silversmith in her spare time.

MaryBeth came to B2 in 2024 from one of the largest law firms in the Midwest, bringing with her 13 plus years as a Billing Specialist/Billing Systems Trainer (for attorneys, as well as admin staff) and another 5 plus years of experience in general law firm accounting including AR, AP, conflict searches and client setup. Her billing experience includes both standard and electronic billing – with an expertise in handling complex billing scenarios, such as multi-payor and split-party billing – on multiple platforms. She also has experience with client set up on the E-billing Hub and electronic billing sites. MaryBeth has a gift for organization and diligence and really enjoys researching and resolving complex issues and helping others to do the same.
When not working she enjoys being reading, baking, watching Korean and British comedy and drama, all kinds of movies and loves being outdoors hiking and exploring the small towns around her looking for antiques and oddities. But her favorite past time is spending time with her five sisters, her thirteen nieces and nephews and her nine great nieces and nephews.

Sarah joined B2 in 2024. She has fifteen-plus years of bookkeeping and accounting experience in law firms, optometry, and agriculture. Sarah began bookkeeping for farms and ranches in the Texas panhandle and has now found her niche in legal. She enjoys working with companies who need their books cleaned up, their processes streamlined, and their in-office staff trained on best practices for bookkeeping.
When not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys traveling, outdoors doing any and all activities, and working on their cattle ranch. She also loves baking, sewing (quilting, crocheting and needlework), and reading way too many books.

Silvia enjoys spending time with family and enjoys being a foodie and trying out new restaurants. She spends time listening to her vinyl collection while she cleans house. She also enjoys walking her 4 dogs every day.

She is known for a rigorous attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and a deep understanding of both operational and high-level financial strategies.
Kerrin is a mom to 3 young children who keep her busy with their various activities. She also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.

Gigi Vita joined B2 in 2024 as a Legal Billing Specialist. Gigi’s career has been a mixture of legal administration and municipal IT. In 2003, she completed her Masters Degree with 7 out of 10 classes focused on technology. Not only does she have LEDES experience, she has worked for a legal billing software company and taught their classes. She enjoys learning about new tools that streamline procedures and processes, and then sharing that knowledge. Gigi looks forward to assisting B2 and their clients reach their goals.

She strives to provide excellent service to her clients. An effective problem solver, she brings her knowledge and experience to find efficiencies and streamline processes.
Crystal lives in her hometown of Omaha, NE with her husband, youngest son and two dogs. She enjoys time with her family and friends, Jeep outings, and cheers on the Huskers.

Kasey’s main goal at B2 is to share her knowledge of Legal Billing with her clients to ensure billing is completed efficiently and accurately. Kasey’s driven by being exceptionally helpful, which makes her always willing to learn new things.
Outside of work, Kasey loves spending time with her dogs, significant other, and family. She also enjoys baking/decorating cakes and cookies, and when she can she mostly enjoys travelling and see new things.
